Three Minute Thesis, 10 Mar 2020

Here’s my attempt at explaining my research in three minutes. It’s anchored to the story of Jean-Dominuque Bauby, a French fashion editor who was left almost completely paralysed after a severe stroke in 1995. He described his experience of living with locked-in syndrome in his 1997 memoir The Divingbell and the Butterfly.

I haven’t watched this. For all I know the sound cuts out after 5 seconds. All I can say is it was at least good enough to get a place in the final.
